This event needed both print and digital materials for distributing throughout local sites and on social media.
Outcome: The outreach materials proved to be extremely successful, and all of the produce boxes were claimed each week! Dozens of families were able to receive boxes of fresh, delicious produce in time for the holidays!
This ended up being one of my favorite projects that I worked on for my client—it felt wonderful to know that these materials resulted in such a tangible benefit to the community!
• I sought to make the materials for this initiative feel bright and inviting: The Spring Pea Green color from my client’s brand kit helped the Instagram graphic pop on audience’s feeds, helping to draw attention from audience members who may benefit the most from the service. The Instagram graphic also has a subtle textural overlay to provide visual interest.
• I created fruit and vegetable illustrated assets for their brand applications. The root veggies and broccoli on the flyers, in addition to the muted veggies on the right hand border graphic on the Instagram post, were created using Adobe Fresco raster drawing tools, which were then converted into SVG files.
• The flyers utilizes warm, autumnal tones from the client’s brand kit.
• Both graphics utilize photographs taken at the East Palo Alto Farmers’ Market, operated by Fresh Approach, and were chosen to reflect seasonality.
