Beach Rover Brand Identity

Role: Product / UX UI Designer | Project Type: Brand Identity & Logo Design | Client: Beach Rover | Deliverable: Logo system and brand foundations

Context

Beach Rover is an autonomous beach cooler designed to follow its user, removing the need to carry or drag heavy coolers across the sand. The product combines technology, mobility, and outdoor lifestyle to solve a real usability problem.
The brand needed a strong, modern visual identity that could clearly communicate innovation, power, and movement.

Problem

The challenge was to create a logo that:
Represented a technology-driven physical product
Felt modern and innovative, not generic or playful
Balanced strength, motion, and beach context
Scaled across physical products and digital assets

Goal

Design a distinctive and scalable brand identity that would:
Communicate innovation and mobility
Reflect the beach environment without clichés
Feel premium, modern, and durable
Work across multiple applications

My Role

I was responsible for the concept development and visual execution of the Beach Rover brand identity by:
Leading the visual concept and logo design
Translating product goals into a clear brand system
Designing logo variations, typography, and color usage
Preparing and presenting the final brand proposal to the client

Design Process

1. Discovery & Client Alignment

The process began with initial meetings with the client to:
Understand the product in depth
Learn how the client worked and made decisions
Gather preferences, references, and inspiration
Clarify business goals and long-term vision

2. Research & Visual Exploration

I explored visual directions based on the client’s initial references, including:
Automotive and motorcycle brands
Outdoor and premium cooler brands
Aerospace and technology references
Client-provided inspirations (e.g., Yamaha, sci-fi aesthetics)

3. Concept Development & Symbolic Architecture

The final logo integrates multiple conceptual layers:
Wave form → beach context and fluid motion
Circular structure → movement, continuity, autonomy
Trident-inspired element → strength, control, and connection to water
Rocket-like geometry → forward propulsion and self-navigation

4. Typography, Color & Logo System

Typography: Orbitron: selected for its futuristic, technical structure and geometric balance.
Color Palette: Neutral metallic tones to convey durability, machinery, and premium positioning.
The logo was developed as a scalable system including:
Primary and secondary lockups
Horizontal and vertical formats
Monochrome and color variations
Application flexibility for product surfaces and digital environments

5. Presentation & Stakeholder Buy-In

I structured a strategic presentation that guided the client through:
Concept rationale
Symbolic reasoning
Visual decision-making process
System flexibility and application scenarios
By framing design decisions through product logic and business alignment, the proposal secured confident approval.

Outcome

Delivered a technology-forward brand identity aligned with product innovation
Established a scalable logo system ready for hardware and digital application
Positioned Beach Rover as a performance-driven, premium product
Built a visual foundation for future brand expansion

Key Skills

Brand strategy & identity development
