E-commerce brand redesign

Have A Rest is a Ukrainian brand of smart suitcases and travel accessories.Suitcases that have been successfully balancing at the intersection of tourism and the fashion industry for five years and were able to combine style and technology - the Small size is equipped with a USB port and a Power Bank, and the Medium and Large sizes have built-in weights.

My Role

UX research to user testing and high-fidelity prototyping.

The Problem

Potential buyers leave the site without purchasing any product.

The Goal

To have 2+ items in each order

Research

Mobile first approach

87% of users use the phone to make a purchase, according to site analytics

UX-audition

Violation of availability. The color of the text does not meet contrast standards, it is difficult for the user to read it
Violation of Jacob Nielsen's heuristics

Usability-testing

During user testing, was identified few critical issues:
None of the users found out about the warranty on the suitcase.
The holographic suitcase was searched for in the smart suitcases section.
When the basket is empty, it does not open, the icon does not react in any way.
It is not clear how to close the basket, the cross removes the product from the basket

Hypothesis generation

After receiving the test results, me with my team started creating hypotheses based on the most important problems

Information Architecture

Building IA for deeper understanding of the structure of the site and pages it contains.

Starting the high-fidelity prototyping & testing

Since the main goal was to redesign existing website, it was decided to start prototyping in high fidelity. During the final testing, only one hypothesis was rejected.
