Nursing Station

About nurses - For nurses - By nurses A media hub that tells the unfiltered story of nurses through daily newsletters.
Project Goals
Elevate frontline voices by sharing authentic perspectives from healthcare professionals
Celebrate resilience and triumphs with stories that inspire and uplift the nursing community
Acknowledge challenges with empathy to create space for honest conversations about the realities of healthcare workers
In essence: make nurses feel seen, valued, and less alone. This wasn’t just design, it was about building something that gives back to the people who give everything.

Design System

Logo Design Channel the soul of the “nursing station”, the hub where nurses swap info, share laughs, and catch their breath between rounds.
The Result A clean, geometric mark that subtly transforms the name into a literal nurses’ station.

Illustrations

I leaned into illustrated portraits for most of our articles to give the newsletter a heartbeat as faces matter more than headlines.
To keep engagement high, I animated many pieces into GIFs. As movements translated into stronger attention and clicks
The Result GIF-driven emails delivered 19% higher open rates and 24% higher CTR than static ones

Content Break Design

Every scroll tells a story. We wanted to guide readers through the newsletter with something more than headers, so we gave Bandy the spotlight (and a slow burnout arc).
Each content break shows Bandy holding it together… until he’s not.
Despite the spiraling chaos, Bandy’s wide eyes and toothy grin never waver. Because if that’s not nurse energy, what is?
By turning content breaks into character moments, we kept things funny, relatable, and emotionally honest.
