Custom Mega Menu Development in Kajabi for KhalilCenter

Kajabi doesn't do mega menus. The client needed one anyway.
Islam & Psychologie is a French-language online academy built on Kajabi. The client wanted a mega menu that matched the navigation style of KhalilCenter.com, with structured dropdowns, multiple columns, and smooth interactions. Kajabi's native navigation doesn't support anything close to that.
I built the entire mega menu from scratch using custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid, working directly inside Kajabi's theme code.

How I approached it
The reference was KhalilCenter.com. I studied their navigation structure, the dropdown behavior, column layout, and hover interactions, then rebuilt it inside Kajabi's constraints.
Kajabi gives you a basic nav bar and that's it. No multi-column dropdowns, no hover states, no mega menu components. Everything had to be hand-coded. I wrote the HTML structure, styled it with CSS to match the client's brand, added JavaScript for hover-based dropdowns with smooth open/close transitions, and used Liquid to pull dynamic content where needed.
I also built a sticky navigation that stays visible on scroll, and a mobile hamburger menu with its own transition logic so the experience works cleanly on phones and tablets.
The trickiest part was making all of this work within Kajabi's theme system without breaking anything else on the site. Kajabi wasn't designed for this level of customization, so every piece of code had to be carefully scoped.
What I delivered
Custom mega menu built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid inside Kajabi
Multi-column dropdown layout replicating KhalilCenter.com's navigation style
Hover-based interactions with smooth open/close transitions
Sticky navigation that stays visible on scroll
Mobile hamburger menu with custom transitions
Fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile
Clean integration within Kajabi's theme system without breaking existing pages
The result
The client got a mega menu that Kajabi was never built to have. Structured navigation, smooth interactions, responsive across all devices, and fully integrated into their existing Kajabi site. Their academy now navigates like a proper web platform, not a template.
