Automated Lead Enrichment System for Sales Mentorship

Client's Goal: A sales mentorship company wanted every new inbound lead in their Go High Level (GHL) CRM to be instantly enriched with external data, updated in their records, and flagged for the sales team—without any manual effort.
Challenges: Their sales reps were losing hours each week manually researching leads, updating contact records, and notifying the team. This slowed down response times and left room for errors and missed opportunities.
Solution & Approach: I built a fully automated system on Make.com that monitors GHL for new leads, enriches each one using Perplexity (or any preferred enrichment API), updates contact details and notes in GHL, notifies the sales team in Slack, and advances the opportunity stage—all in real time. The system handles inbound leads from form submissions, manual entry, or API/webhook sources, and outputs enriched records, audit notes, and instant Slack alerts.

Watches GHL for new leads and triggers enrichment instantly
Pulls detailed company and contact info using Perplexity or other enrichment APIs
Updates lead records and adds audit notes in GHL automatically
Notifies the sales team on Slack with enriched lead details
