Working with Fever Up & Alive Agency in partnership with Warner Bros, I led this project as the creative producer for Alive Agency.
The Yule Ball is an immersive theatre experience, based on the Harry Potter film franchise. The event transports the audience into the Wizarding World, where they can watch a show, eat and drink themed food and purchase exclusive merchandise to expand their experience at the ball.
The show has been produced in various countries and cities including Montreal, Houston, Milan and now Sydney. In each city, the local team are given a structured brief to assimilate into a show suitable for the city.
As the creative producer, my role was to work with the key global creators of the show structure to build this show for the Australian audience. This included:
Designing and styling the space with a mix of provided set pieces and additionally sourced pieces
Hiring, briefing and managing directors, choreographers, LX, SFX and stage management team
Casting, assistant directing and managing the theatre show from end to end
Building the lighting design, working stage cues and sound cues into the show as best suited for the venue
Managing, authorising and assisting in the design of costumes for each character in the show
As the show opened and entered its 10-week run, my role transformed into:
Leading the show on behalf of Fever, Alive and WB
Managing any maintenance, troubleshooting issues and overseeing the FOH teams during the show run
Managing all cast and crew during the show run
Ensuring all show reporting is submitted by the various suppliers and team’s onsite
