Overview 🔎
The redesign of the app is to create a friendlier user experience while simplifying the process of 'pallying' which would ultimately influence the buying decisions while using, reusing or recommending the app to others.
Problem & Solution 🤝
At the highest level, we were trying to solve a problem of navigation, improve the experience and order request for the customers
Goals/Requirements: Add some of our project goals or requirements that helped get this project to the finish line was to create a • Modern and clean identity • No of positive reviews and feedback • Increase return rate, frequency of orders and customer retention; New number of sign ups, shares and referrals
Process 🛣
The first process to this project was to use the design thinking framework guide our approach to the problem we were looking to solve and how we would go about it.
Research, Interviews & Findings
Additionally we moved through this project framework to doing research, create findings while aligning all this with the business objectives. Our recruited research participant were between the age of 20-55 of mixed demography with an average income level and have used the app for about 3months.
While running an interview of 5-10mins questions to understand user pains, gains and goals, we also observed them in their natural environment.
We also had to test for usability testing from the existing app in order to detect usability issues that may occur when users interact with a product and identify ways to resolve them in the users journey.
I took the finding from the research work into identifying the Problem, Goals into 2 defined user persona.
Visual Design and Identity
Part of the design recommendation to help Business goals was to explore a fresh look and feel for the brand’s visual identity, so it appears as par with international brands.
So we worked on a new identity with an extensive color palette for a vast brand expression.
Following the first set heuristic evaluation we had done in the research phase, we were able to come up with design solution that addressed some of the users pain points.
Results 🎁
We did another round of heuristic evaluation for usability testing to examine the interface and judge its compliance with recognized usability principles so we can know where to make more iterations given the feedback from users.
