Joe Jaxxson is a guitarist and musical performer based in Western Australia. He plays a variety of tunes in the ‘feel good’ genre, always aiming to get his audience’s toes tapping.
Joe engaged LeadGen to design a brand new website to establish his online presence and provide a way for venues and fans to check out his music, upcoming gigs and personal story. The site would assist Joe to book in more work as a travelling musician. Joe also requested an original logo design to showcase his personal brand.
What we built
Joe’s new website needed to highlight his personal brand and visual style, while having relevant functionality (i.e. the ability to play musical tracks) and provide key information to venues and fans alike.
Rustic theme
The design reflected Joe’s desired rustic and old-school country and rock aesthetic, incorporating wooden textures, a dark colour palette and appropriate serif fonts. Wood-themed backgrounds were carefully selected to preserve a modern feeling appearance.
Embedded functionality
We selected a free music player widget and loaded it with some of Joe’s catchy tunes. The player needed to have customisable visuals to match the rest of the site, and be easily embedded into the website through an iframe.
Easy to update
Following launch, we sat down with Joe and took him through the process for easily updating information on the site about upcoming gigs to ensure fans could keep track of when they could see him next.
A personal touch
We created a gallery to showcase Joe’s most prized possessions – his large collection of vintage and priceless electric and acoustic guitars.
A new logo
We designed a logo for Joe that captured his desired old-school, feel-good rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic, complete with a winged guitar neck!
