Client: Confidential Medical Company (NJ-based App Launch)
Agency: Creatvely LLC
Lead Designer: Whitney Espinoza
Final Design:InSite Health App
Project Overview
The client partnered with Creatvely to create a custom hand-drawn icon set based on their brand logo. These icons were needed for their new behavioral health app and WordPress website, both focused on supporting mental health services for New Jersey residents.
The goal:
Create a clean, welcoming, hand-crafted visual system.
Ensure all icons matched the brand’s logo style naturally.
Improve user experience by organizing key services visually.
My Role
As Lead Designer, I was responsible for:
Studying the logo’s style (line thickness, roundness, simplicity).
Hand-drawing the icon concepts using Procreate for an organic, expressive feel.
Vectorizing the icons in Illustrator for scalability and clean polish.
Remocking the icon set into the WordPress site layouts using Figma, ensuring real-world application flow before final hand-off.
Delivering fully optimized files for web, mobile, and app integration.
Design Process
Logo Style Analysis:
I dissected the brand’s logo to extract consistent visual rules: rounded edges, uniform stroke width, and minimalistic forms.
Hand-Drawn Concepts:
I used Procreate to create initial sketches, bringing warmth and a human touch to each concept.
Vector Refinement:
Icons were recreated in Adobe Illustrator, ensuring they were sharp, scalable, and clean while still honoring the hand-drawn spirit.
Figma Site Mockups:
Using Figma, I rebuilt sections of the WordPress site to test how the new icons would appear in real navigation, landing columns, and mobile views — ensuring usability and alignment across screen sizes.
Final Icon Set
Daily Journal & Mood Tracker (calendar with heart)
Be Ready in a Crisis (checklist with shield)
Breathe & Recharge (meditating figure with headphones)
Care Navigator (support agent with heart speech bubble)
Each icon was kept lightweight, intuitive, and designed for instant visual communication.
Outcome
Successfully launched alongside the company's NJ-focused app rollout.
Featured across website columns, app onboarding, and user dashboards.
Seamlessly blended with the brand’s logo identity for a cohesive experience.
Helped enhance user journey clarity, especially for behavioral health service navigation.
Improved trust and engagement across both mobile and desktop views.
