SafeBook sent a fun challenge: "Can you make accounting look sexy?" Their AI-based platform helps businesses automate their finances while still keeping a human touch. They wanted a CGI hype video that would get people talking on Product Hunt, TechCrunch, and other sites.

From the first call, I knew we needed something that looked like a Windows 11 or Artlist ad: smooth, modern, and full of motion.

We started by working together in Notion to make a detailed storyboard. This became our main place for scripts, references, and weekly updates on our progress. The SafeBook team could leave comments right on the frames, and we would agree on the direction we wanted to go in our weekly meetings.

Unreal Engine 5 was used to make everything, which made a huge difference. I could quickly try out different things with real-time rendering, like changing the lighting, camera paths, and materials on the fly. The cinematic lighting tools gave the movie a glossy, commercial look, and Sequencer made it easy to switch between cameras smoothly.

It felt less like making a commercial and more like directing a short film. Every shot could respond to feedback right away, which kept the creative juices flowing for the whole four weeks.
