Only ~35,000 doctors serve over 200M people (1:5,700 ratio).
70% of the population lives in rural or underserved areas with poor access.
$1.2B+ is spent annually out-of-pocket on inefficient healthcare.
Clinics are overcrowded, under-resourced, and wait times are long.
Solution
HealR is an AI-powered telemedicine platform that connects Nigerians with licensed doctors via their phones.
Key design decisions:
Mobile-first UI → optimized for low bandwidth.
AI Triage Assistant → quick, conversational symptom checking.
Doctor verification badges → building trust with patients.
Transparent pricing → local currency displayed clearly.
