Subtitle Pro is an AI-powered captioning tool built on the Canva Marketplace. The product had two critical problems at launch. The caption generation flow had too many steps, slowing users down before they reached their goal. And the system broke entirely for videos without spoken audio — leaving users stuck with no way forward. On top of that, Canva enforces strict design guidelines for all Marketplace apps, limiting what could be built and requiring every design decision to pass platform review.
