"Can you design me some thumbnails?"

I stumbled upon Debora early 2021 via LinkedIn. She is a business, life improvement and relationship coach and was my first recurring client. I started working with as full-time video editor first and foremost but also, as her thumbnail desginer! 🖼️

The process was pretty clear cut:

Use a screenshot of her face, unless specified otherwise,

Add a tagline/title,

Create an interesting background and add elements related to the video,

Export and send!

Once I got used to it, I was producing multiple iterations for a video quite quickly! 💨

She will do the A/B testing by submitting the iterations to an Instagram Poll and see which one got more votes. 🗳️ The most appreciated one will be the thumbnail chosen!

I still sent her all the iterations in case she wanted to change the thumbnail at any point. ✨
