Postal Coffee delivers more than just great coffee—it delivers an experience. Inspired by the building’s past as a post office, the brand playfully reimagines postal iconography to create a bold, familiar, and uniquely its own identity.
Project Outline
Postal Coffee is a specialty coffee roastery, café, and distributor operating out of a repurposed post office. The brand embraces the history of its space while creating a distinct identity that playfully subverts traditional postal service iconography.

The Brief
To craft a brand that seamlessly blends the reliability and nostalgia of postal services with the energy and warmth of specialty coffee culture. The goal was to develop a visual identity that feels both familiar and fresh, ensuring Postal Coffee stands out while honouring its origins.
Application
Packaging and Merch - Coffee bags, takeaway cups, and merchandise designed to resemble mailed parcels, featuring playful postal references.
Signage and Interior Design - A cohesive in-store experience that leans into the postal theme while feeling welcoming and contemporary.
Website and Digital Presence - A clean, intuitive website with an e-commerce component for ordering coffee, mimicking a well-organised dispatch system.
Visual Language - Inspired by postal iconography, including stamps, labels, and postmarks, reinterpreted in a bold, modern way.
Colour Palette - A predominantly black and white aesthetic with selective use of red and blue, reinforcing trust and recognition akin to national postal services.
Typography and Design Elements - Strong, structured typography paired with playful, hand-stamped or printed textures to mirror postal markings.
The Outcome
By merging the functional aesthetics of a postal service with the rich sensory experience of coffee, we created a brand that is trustworthy, nostalgic, and full of personality. Postal Coffee doesn’t just serve coffee—it delivers an experience.
