Middle Studio is a Brisbane-based design studio building bold, values-led brands for small businesses, freelancers, and remote-first teams. As both the client and creator, this project was an exercise in applying our own strategic and creative process to bring a purpose-driven studio identity to life.

The Brief
To craft a distinctive studio identity that communicates both creative credibility and a values-first approach. The brand had to stand out in a saturated creative market while staying grounded in clarity, intention, and visual confidence.
Application
Visual Language – Clean, assertive design language using strong grid structures, bold typography, and subtle quirks that break convention without losing clarity.
Colour Palette – A refined black-and-white foundation paired with a spectrum of bold accent colours (Cobalt Blue, Electric Lilac, Punch Red, Signal Orange, Sunbeam Yellow) to express energy, flexibility, and confidence.
Typography – Inter, used across variable weights and sizes to create hierarchy, clarity, and a modern sensibility. Letter spacing and layout were carefully calibrated for visual sharpness.
Copy & Messaging – Language that is clear, confident, and human. Hero statements like "Helping brands stand out, without selling out" communicate our purpose and positioning in plain terms.
Website – Designed and built in Framer to feel intuitive and bold. The site prioritises storytelling, clarity of services, and showcasing work in a visually engaging way.
Social & Launch – Middle Studio launched with a cohesive brand rollout across Instagram and LinkedIn, including a series of animated posts, project teasers, and behind-the-scenes content to build connection and credibility.
