Lila is a filmmaker, video editor and YouTuber. Quoting her YouTube bio, she "shares filmmaking tips, video editing tutorials, and vlogs for beginners, pros and everyone in between." 📹

I first came into contact with Lila in early 2022. She was looking for a video editor for her YouTube channel at the time and I applied. Unfortunately, we didn't work together then because I decided to work for another client.

Jump to late 2022, I emailed to check up on her and what luck:



She was looking for someone to turn some of her old videos into TikToks! 👀



I readily accepted and she sent me 5 A-Rolls of already posted videos for me to work with.

The guidelines were:

• The video should be under 1 minute,
• Use her preferred font,
• Have some pop-up text,
• End the TikTok with a Call to Action (CTA),
• Create subtitles.

The most challenging part was narrowing down the most important information and remove the rest but, once this was done, it got more manageable! ✨
