Channel Zero

Brand Identity, Posters, Billboards, Website + Video
Channel Zero is a digital channel dedicated to rock music. The station’s brief called for branding that was striking, modern, and equally effective on-screen and in print. The resulting logo is bold yet minimal, giving the channel a polished, professional feel. Its nod to the classic TV test screen connects with the core audience of twenty- and thirty-somethings who grew up with that visual.
For the station’s launch, I designed a campaign of billboards and posters built around timeless black-and-white images of rock icons. The tagline — “Whatever happened to my Rock n’Roll” (a lyric from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) — was used with a touch of irony. Set in a sharp white and pink typeface, it contrasted against the raw energy of the photography, emphasising how uninspired today’s rock can feel.
The website acted as the channel’s central hub, covering everything from new shows and interviews to weekly video picks. It also included a gig guide, album reviews, and a spotlight feature for a “Band of the Month.” The design was clear and user-friendly, with ad placements integrated into the layout in a way that stood out without disrupting the flow of content.
