Branding & Packaging Design - Wine Wax

Olivia came to the Studio with a dream of launching her own candle brand - with a twist. As a sommelier, Liv had a few hundred beautiful empty wine bottles lying around, and a passion for blending candle scents that reminded her of her favourite wines.

And so, Wine Wax was born: with a mission to create hand-poured, sustainable soy-wax candles inside recycled wine bottles cut down to unique size.

Wanting to highlight the unique vineyard-filled landscape of the Goulburn Valley in Central Victoria (Australia), the branding for Wine Wax was established around a landscape illustration, altered with brand colours that would carry through Wine Wax' branding.

The brand was quirky, fun and unique, and so the branding was created with this in mind. We implemented an illustrated wine glass in the main logo type and used this across the brand to illustrate the scents of each product.

The branding was then applied across candle labels, swing tags, packaging boxes and labels for additional products including wax melts and diffusers.

We split the landscape image into seven parts - with a section for each candle scent in the brands first collection. Coupled with unique names for each scent, this gave each product a fun and completely unique label.
