Overview: This fintech project was built for high-earning individuals seeking elevated financial services — including insured deposits via community banks and high-interest accounts. The platform required strong compliance, security, and custom branding to reflect premium-level trust.

The solution included:

A fully functional web-based fintech app with KYC onboarding, 2FA login, business/personal account support, transfers, and withdrawals

A custom admin panel (CMS) to manage invitations, interest rates, and user access

Seamless integration with a proprietary in-house framework designed to accelerate fintech deployments

My Role: I led all frontend development for both the core application and the admin CMS:

Developed the admin panel UI from scratch using a TailwindCSS template and Atomic Design principles

Implemented features such as access control, interest management, and user invitations

Customized the core fintech application to fit the client’s branding, flow, and compliance requirements

Integrated third-party services like Auth0 (authentication), Persona (identity verification), and Plaid (bank account linking)

Adapted and extended the company’s in-house fintech framework to meet new client specifications

Collaborated with an 8-person cross-functional team and maintained close alignment with backend and compliance teams

Challenges & Solutions: Delivering both applications under strict deadlines was the biggest challenge. I was the only frontend developer for most of the build, which required careful prioritization, fast execution, and adaptability to feedback.

I also had to work within complex compliance constraints from the partner bank. To stay aligned, I maintained tight communication loops with the compliance team and followed strict implementation guidelines.

Successfully launched both the main app and admin panel to production on schedule

Met all security and compliance requirements with no major issues at launch

Enabled the client to onboard their first users and begin offering services within 4 months

Continued to provide feature support and bug fixes over the following 4 months

Project received strong positive feedback from the client and internal stakeholders
