Bluberry – Web App for Cleaning Service Management

Client: Bluberry (Startup – Cleaning Staff & Client Scheduling Platform) Duration: 3 months (Freelance) Stack: React, Axios, Zustand, Material UI, REST API, QuickBooks
Redesigned onboarding and dashboards, fixed high-priority bugs, and refactored legacy code — helping improve product stability and UX.
Overview: Bluberry is a web platform designed to connect cleaning staff with clients, enabling easy management of bookings, roles, cleaning inventory, and scheduling. The application supports onboarding flows for both clients and staff, with dashboard views and business integrations such as QuickBooks for billing.
My Role: As a freelance frontend developer, I contributed to the stabilization and UX improvement of the app by:
Fixing over 15 critical bugs affecting core functionality
Fully redesigning the onboarding experience for both cleaning staff and clients, based on Figma designs
Redesigning and implementing the main dashboard UI, improving layout and updating existing charts for better data clarity
Refactoring large parts of the legacy codebase to align with modern frontend standards — breaking down large, tightly coupled files into smaller, reusable components
Collaborated closely with the product manager and design team to ensure feature alignment
Challenges & Solutions: The most complex task was integrating the new onboarding flow into an aging and difficult-to-maintain codebase. To overcome this, I carefully refactored the relevant files, modularized the code, and separated logic from components — resulting in a cleaner structure that made future development easier.
Results:
Improved code maintainability and onboarding flow UX
Enhanced dashboard design and data visualization clarity
Fixed critical bugs that improved app stability and client satisfaction
Received positive feedback from both the client and product manager for speed, reliability, and code quality
