Unicorn Companies Analysis Using Excel

I recently analyzed the Unicorn companies dataset provided by Maven Analytics through Excel. The dataset can be gotten here. I focused on answering the following business questions:
- Which unicorn companies have had the biggest return on investment?
- Which countries have the most unicorns? are there any cities that appear to be industry hubs?
- Which continents have the most unicorn companies?
PROCESS:
- Reformatted the Date Joined column, as they were uploaded as ####
- Created a new column: Valuation_In_Full to show the full Valuation of the companies.
3. Created a new column: Funding_In_Full to show the full funding of the company.
4. With the new columns created, I was able to create a new column that shows the ROI (Return on Investments) and show companies with the highest return on investments.
After creating the new ROI column, I used conditional formatting to highlight the top 10 unicorn companies that have had the biggest return on investment.
From this analysis, the top 10 unicorn companies with the highest return on investment in are:

Manner

5. I created a Pivot Table to have an answer to the business question: what countries have the most unicorns?
From the Pivot Table created, United States emerged as the country with the most unicorns, having 562 unicorns out of a total of 1074 unicorns.
Cities that appeared to be industry hubs are San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Beijing.
6. To answer the business question which continents have the most unicorn companies, I created a Pivot Table to show continents and the number of companies in them.
North America had the highest number of companies while Africa had the least number of unicorn companies.
Finally, I created a dashboard showing the Number of Companies per Country and the Companies per Continent. I also included a splicer for filtering results from a Pivot Table.
