Alumni Spotlight Campaign

About the Project:

The project was to create a 6-month long social media and WordPress blog campaign to revitalize a college’s social media presence while adhering to university-wide style guidelines. The goal of the project was to increase follower engagement leading up to the yearly fundraising campaign and illustrate to prospective students the benefits of attending their program.

Deliverables:

  1. 10 500 word blog profiles and 150 word social media posts.
  2. Engaging cover images that adhere to style guidelines.
  3. 1500 word press release for local media and university-wide news outlets.

Results:

→ Prior to the project, the social media accounts received under 5 likes and 0 comments per posts.

→ During the social media campaign, the social media posts averaged 70 likes per post, 5 comments, 5 shares on stories, and 8 reposts on Twitter.

→ Prior to the project, the WordPress blog averaged 10 views per week.

→ Following the alumni spotlight blog posts, the blog averaged 55 views per week, 3 comments per post, and 2 reshares on social media accounts.
