A website and content system for a Jaipur cab and tour company, where every trip shows its price and a planner works out any fare, line by line. Client project, 2026.
The problem
Cab in Jaipur has driven guests across Rajasthan for more than 30 years, in over 20 cars of their own, none hired in.
They wanted two things: a fair price on every trip, shown before anyone has to ask, and a site they could run themselves, changing a rate, a trip or a photo without waiting for a developer.
What I did
One fare engine prices everything. The trip planner, every cab route, day trip and tour page, and the CMS all run the same sum: the km at the car's rate, the driver's allowance, tolls, parking and any state tax, then the service charge and GST. Change a rate once and every price on the site follows.
What goes into every fare: km, driver, tolls and tax, service charge and GST, and why it's a range
A trip planner for anything off the list. Pick a place, a date and the number of people, and it picks the smallest car that seats the group, shows the fare line by line, then writes the whole trip into a WhatsApp message.
A content system built for the owners: cab routes, day trips, packages, the blog, the gallery, the fleet and contact details, on a Cloudflare Worker with a D1 database and R2 for photos. Publish rebuilds the static site, so visitors never touch the database.
Admins and editors each sign in with their own account, and an out-of-date form can't overwrite someone else's change.
Highlights
Prices on the first screen. Every route, day trip and tour shows its fare, with the usual taxi fare beside it. Jaipur to Udaipur: from ₹3,650.
Safe to hand over. Each editor has their own sign-in, five wrong passwords lock it for 15 minutes, and every save keeps the version before it.
Publish, then live. Publish starts the deploy: pull the content, lint and type-check, build the static site, put it on Cloudflare.
Found on Google. A sitemap of 74 pages, and 31 addresses from the old site redirected to the closest page, so old links still land.
Where it stands now
The site is live at cabinjaipur.com. The CMS lets the owners change a rate, a trip or a photo and press Publish themselves, with no developer in the loop.
