Swiss Education Group (SEG) comprises multiple institutions, including César Ritz, HIM, and Culinary Arts Academy, each with its own website and branding. The challenge was to design a microsite that consolidated key information from these separate sources into a cohesive and navigable experience.
Challenges & Constraints
Multiple brand identities: Each institution had its own visual style and structure, requiring a unified yet recognizable adaptation.
Content fragmentation: Information was scattered across different websites, making it hard for users to get a complete overview.
Resource constraints: The project required leveraging existing design components rather than creating everything from scratch.
Process & Solutions
Content & Design Consolidation: Gathered and analyzed design elements from various SEG institution websites to identify common patterns and visual consistencies and developed a harmonized UI system that retained institutional identities while ensuring seamless integration within the microsite.
Microsite Navigation & User Experience: Designed a streamlined navigation system, ensuring users could easily access information from all SEG institutions without confusion.
Results & Impact
Successfully integrated key content from multiple SEG institutions into a single, user-friendly platform.
Improved navigation and discoverability, reducing user frustration caused by fragmented information.
Strengthened brand cohesion while maintaining individual institutional identities.
Key Takeaways
Merging multiple design languages into a single experience requires strategic adaptation rather than uniform standardization.
Content hierarchy is crucial when organizing information from different sources.
Working with existing resources efficiently can lead to effective and scalable solutions.
