Overview

Discover Fantasy Grid, a mobile game created for Formula 1 enthusiasts, allowing you to compete with your friends throughout the entire season.

Process

The concept

Fantasy Grid is a mobile application that allows Formula 1 fans to place reasonable bets without using money and to compete with their friends.
The concept is based on a Fantasy League system. Each race weekend, you can challenge your friends in a Fantasy Grid race, with the results depending on the actual performances of your real Formula 1 championship drivers.

The project

The Fantasy Grid project was born out of a problem I noticed: no such application existed before. The concept of Fantasy League is very popular in America and Canada, but it is still quite rare in France. An application like Fantasy Grid was needed.
Behind this project are several months of research, including persona studies, audience analysis, benchmarking, and audits. It was essential to convince an audience unfamiliar with this type of game. To do this, I created a booth and presented it over several days, persuading people to join the adventure. The booth allowed individuals to create their own teams within a budget cap, selecting their preferred drivers and constructors.

The application

The app allows each player to join different leagues, either with friends or alone. You can create up to three teams with the same budget cap. You can decide to enter all three teams in the same league or place one team in each league.
You can view the stats of each driver and constructor based on real race results. You can sell your drivers and make a profit if they have had an excellent race, then use that profit to buy a driver with better stats who is likely to perform well in future races.
A comprehensive strategy is essential, and the choices you make throughout the season are crucial.
