Mobile Application - Designing Relief

Objective

To design an intuitive and calming mobile app for Headaid, a migraine relief application aimed at providing immediate support during migraine attacks. The goal was to create an app that minimizes visual stimulation while offering effective, practical solutions for migraine sufferers, developed in close collaboration with both medical specialists and patients.

What I've done

User Research & Discovery – Conducted in-depth research with migraine patients and medical professionals from the University of Michigan (USA) to understand the unique needs and challenges of the target audience.

Aesthetic Design Strategy – Designed a calming, minimalistic interface using muted colors and soft visuals to prevent triggering migraines while ensuring easy usability during an attack.

Collaborative Prototyping – Worked with both specialists and patients in iterative design sessions to refine the app’s features and interface.

User Testing & Feedback – Implemented continuous feedback loops from real migraine patients to ensure the app meets their needs and minimizes discomfort.

Medical Expertise Integration – Integrated medical knowledge into the design, ensuring the app provides clinically-backed strategies for acute migraine relief.

Accessibility & Insurance Integration – Working on future iterations to make the app accessible through health insurance by collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance networks.
