Project Overview

I developed a comprehensive dashboard for a study abroad consultancy that assists students in finding their dream universities and guides them through the admission process. The dashboard provides a centralized platform for students to manage their profiles, prepare for exams, and access valuable resources. This project aimed to enhance the consultancy's service offering by providing students with the tools they need to succeed in their study abroad journey.

Problem Statement

The study abroad consultancy faced challenges in efficiently managing student data and providing personalized resources to aid students in their application and exam preparation processes. Students needed a user-friendly platform where they could easily access relevant information and resources tailored to their unique profiles and goals.

Design Process

1. Discovery and Planning

The project began with a discovery phase to understand the consultancy's objectives and the needs of its student clients. Through consultations with stakeholders, we identified key features that would make the dashboard an effective tool for students and the consultancy.

2. Wireframing and Prototyping

I created wireframes to map out the structure of the dashboard, focusing on a seamless user experience that would allow students to easily navigate the platform. The prototype was designed to showcase the dashboard's functionality and user flow.

3. Design and Development

Using Figma, I designed a clean, intuitive interface for the dashboard, ensuring it was accessible and engaging for students. Key features included:

Profile Creation: Students can set up their profiles by entering basic details, which helps personalize their experience and recommendations.

Exam Preparation: Dedicated sections for IELTS reading, writing, listening, and speaking preparation. Students can access video lectures, download resources and notes, and track their progress.

University Exploration: Based on the student's profile, the dashboard suggests universities that match their criteria and provides information about programs and admission requirements.

Resource Access: Students can learn about various resources and download guides on topics such as loans, visas, and specific academic domains.

Content Library: A rich library of video lectures and downloadable resources to aid in exam preparation and university applications.

4. Integration and Testing

The dashboard was integrated with the consultancy's existing systems to ensure seamless data management and resource access. Rigorous testing was conducted to ensure all features worked correctly and provided a smooth user experience.

5. Launch and Training

After successful testing, the dashboard was launched. I provided training sessions for the consultancy staff to help them navigate and manage the dashboard effectively.

Conclusion

The dashboard was successfully launched, providing a valuable tool for the study abroad consultancy to enhance its service offering. Students now have a centralized platform to manage their profiles, prepare for exams, and access personalized resources, streamlining their study abroad journey. Through this project, I demonstrated the ability to design and develop a comprehensive solution that addresses the needs of both the consultancy and its clients.
