Client & problem
EE needed an engaging, age-appropriate quiz for kids aged 10–13, to teach them how to use tech for good – not hate.
The challenge? Making content clear, emotionally-safe and compatible with Typeform.
My role & approach
I wrote and rewrote quiz questions, feedback states and onboarding content. I ensured tone was supportive (not shame-based), reading level was appropriate and all pronouns were gender-neutral to avoid alienating kids.
I also reformatted and simplified content from a partner organisation to work within design and tech constraints.
Outcome & results
The project launched successfully with strong engagement:
94% episode completion rate
7,000+ chapters completed in the first four weeks
Multiple BIMA and DMA awards, including Gold for Best Use of Content
Why it matters
Kids are vulnerable online. I believe clear, kind, inclusive writing isn’t just best practice – it’s a responsibility.
