Interactive diagnostic tool for service-based businesses

A deterministic web app that identifies operational bottlenecks and priority improvements in under 3 minutes.

Overview

Many service-based businesses operate without clear visibility into their operational structure. Information is fragmented, processes vary, and performance is difficult to track consistently.
I built Operations Clarity Check to provide a fast, structured way to evaluate operational clarity and identify the single highest-impact improvement area.
The tool delivers immediate, actionable insight without requiring setup, integrations, or manual analysis.

Problem

Service businesses often struggle with:
• scattered client information • manual tracking • inconsistent processes • limited performance visibility
This creates hidden operational friction that slows growth.
However, most diagnostic processes require time-consuming consulting engagements or complex tools.
There was no simple, accessible way for businesses to self-assess operational clarity.

Solution

I designed and built a fully interactive diagnostic web application that:
• evaluates operational clarity using a deterministic scoring model • identifies the primary operational bottleneck • provides structured clarity level classification • delivers actionable improvement direction instantly
The experience is designed to feel professional, fast, and actionable.

Diagnostic Logic and Scoring Model

The diagnostic was designed as a structured operational framework rather than a simple questionnaire.

Each response contributes to a deterministic scoring model across six operational categories:
• Client information structure • Performance visibility • Process consistency • Operational reliability • Manual workload • Systems integration
Scores range from 1 to 4 per category, with a total possible score of 24.
Based on the total score, the system automatically assigns an operational clarity level:
• Low • Developing • Strong • Advanced
The system also identifies the lowest-scoring category and designates it as the highest-priority operational bottleneck.
This allows businesses to quickly understand both their overall operational maturity and their most impactful improvement opportunity.
