UPRISING: NARRATING BLACK PRESENCE AND EXPRESSION ON THE HILL
UPRISING is a student organization at St. Olaf College (”The Hill”) that narrates the experiences of Black people, and celebrates Black history and culture through the visual and performing arts. Every year the student organization hosts a student-curated art exhibition in February to coincide with Black History Month.
In 2022, the fifth installment of this art series explored the theme, “Perception of Self.” UPRISING V: Perception of Self was curated by Lillian Ingabire, Karabo Ramosamo, and Ramos Lenyatsa. In addition to curating the art exhibition, I created several designs to promote the event and strengthen the overall brand.
