Case Study – Bangalôs Rota do Vinho Guest Guide

Context
The project was developed for the owner of an Airbnb property located in São Roque’s famous Rota do Vinho (Wine Route) in Brazil.
Guests often received fragmented information through WhatsApp messages and PDFs, which made it difficult to access essential details such as check-in instructions, Wi-Fi password, and directions, frequently hidden in long chat threads or attachments.
This led to a frustrating guest experience and, for the host, a constant need to resend information and answer repeated questions.

The solution was to design a mobile-friendly digital guide consolidating everything in one place, accessible directly by a reusable link.
Approach
Information Architecture
Defined four main sections: Home, How to Arrive, Local Tips, Your Stay.
Consolidated all fragmented content into a structured sitemap optimized for mobile use.
Design Decisions
Mobile-first navigation with a fixed bottom tab bar.
Floating WhatsApp button opening direct chat links with the host, co-host, and caretaker.
Clear iconography for rules and amenities, instead of text-heavy explanations.
Color palette extracted from the bungalow’s wall paint, harmonized with a Radix-style system.
Typography pairing: for titles warm and informal + body text legible and friendly
Outcome
Reduced friction in communication between host and guests with one link to access all essential information and during their stay. The experience feels more professional, creating a welcoming and stress-free stay for guests. The host no longer needs to resend repetitive instructions, saving time and reducing support workload.
