PeerShare Platform Development

PeerShare is a modern web platform designed to connect users who need help with design and productivity software (like Adobe Creative Suite or Microsoft Excel) to community members who can assist. The goal was to create an MVP that enables file-based collaboration and knowledge exchange in a simple, approachable, and scalable manner.

User Authentication & Profiles: Secure sign-up and login using Supabase Auth, allowing users to create detailed profiles and keep track of their activity on the platform.

Project Creation & Matchmaking: Users can post project requests with descriptions and relevant files. Helpers can browse and join based on their skills and availability.

File Uploads & Downloads: Seamless project file handling with Supabase storage, enabling users to share relevant documents securely.

Community Interactions: A lightweight comment and rating system to foster trust, encourage collaboration, and track helper performance.

Monetization Integration: Basic monetization via Stripe, allowing the platform to offer premium features such as priority support or expert reviews.

Frontend: Built using Next.js with a responsive and fast user interface styled via Tailwind CSS.

Backend:

Payments: Integrated Stripe for future monetization models including subscriptions and one-off premium support.

Admin Panel: Powered by Directus, enabling easy management of users, content, and moderation tasks.

Deployment:

The project was launched as a polished MVP. The platform is now live with early users testing the core features, and the groundwork has been laid for future iterations like real-time collaboration, advanced matchmaking, and a full expert marketplace.
