We designed and built an MVP for a journaling platform. The project's goal was to allow users to journal in public or private when they want to share their thoughts and experiences.

This project had to be completed quickly, as it's an MVP. It had to be launched as soon as possible, but that does not mean that the design should look bad or not! Even at a fast-paced rate, I made sure to deliver a great-looking and intuitive platform for my client.

We began by creating quick brand guidelines that include inspiration, typography, and colors that will be used in the design. The two fonts that we found the most fitting for this project were Recoleta for headers, and Geist for content. For colors, we tried to find soft and warm colors so that users have it easy when writing and reading content. We kept the layout clean and minimalistic so that the user does not get distracted when writing or reading content.

After finalizing the design and getting approval from the client, the development process kicked off. The frontend was built using NextJS, which is a powerful frontend framework known for its performance, DX, and SEO capabilities.

As for the backend, since this was an MVP, we chose Supabase. Supabase is an open-source FIrebase alternative that provides backend-as-a-service solutions, including authentication and S3-like storage.

The result is an MVP platform ready to find its target users as it has all the essential functionality that it requires, as well as an excellent-looking design to attract potential users.
