The Brief

Design and build a high-converting landing page for a women-led venture capital firm. The brand needed to feel confident and professional without defaulting to the cold, corporate aesthetic typical of finance. The goal: establish trust, communicate values, and drive investor and founder inquiries.

The Challenge

VC firm websites tend to fall into two camps: sterile corporate (dark suits, handshakes, stock charts) or overly aspirational (vague mission statements, no substance). Aura Capital needed a third path—warm but authoritative, modern but trustworthy.
Key requirements:
Communicate the firm's women-led, women-focused positioning clearly
Build credibility through founder presence and track record
Drive two audiences: founders seeking funding and investors seeking partnership
Work flawlessly across desktop and mobile

The Approach

Visual Direction

I developed a bento-style layout system with rounded containers that creates visual warmth while maintaining professional structure. The design uses:
Warm neutrals — Stone palette instead of stark black/white
Confident typography — Medium-weight sans-serif with selective italics for personality
Curated photography — Professional women in powerful contexts, not stock-photo clichés
Generous whitespace — Lets the content breathe and establishes premium positioning

Design System

Built with consistency in mind:

The nested radius formula (inner radius + padding = outer radius) ensures curves feel intentional and parallel throughout.

Sections

Hero — Bold headline with founder-focused value proposition, dual CTAs for different audiences
Services — "More Than Just Capital" — three-card layout highlighting mentorship, growth strategy, and network access
Founder Story — Elena Vance introduction with track record stats (120+ founders, $500M AUM)
Values — Dark section with manifesto-style quote and lifestyle imagery
Contact — Integrated form with low-friction fields
Footer — Minimal, functional

The Build

Developed entirely in Framer using native features:
Stacks with fractional widths for responsive layouts
Scroll animations for section reveals
Native form component for contact capture
Semantic HTML — proper nav, footer, heading hierarchy
Full responsive design — desktop, tablet, mobile breakpoints
Build time: ~4 hours from blank canvas to published site.
