Mees, the CEO of the Wolf of Washington, is developing a financial app that meticulously tracks specific trading activities in an innovative and efficient manner. He entrusted me with the task of designing five onboarding screens for his brand-new app. He provided me with the visual guidelines for this project and a detailed description outlining the desired appearance of the onboarding flow.
Discovery
I frequently use various financial apps, and they all appear quite similar. As an admirer of Apple’s design principles, I decided to merge these two concepts and create innovative and visually appealing designs.
The process
We started our project swiftly. Instead of creating wireframes, we opted for a full design approach to expedite the process. We eliminated endless debates and overthinking, opting for a concise method to assess our progress and ensure we were on the right track.
Once we felt confident in our direction, I dedicated myself to crafting the most user-friendly and visually appealing user interface possible. I focused on creating a clean and intuitive design, with clear charts and cards, and a user-friendly paywall. Throughout the project, I maintained open communication with the client, providing frequent updates and feedback.
Conclusion
I transformed an idea into a ready-to-build product in less than three days. The process was smooth, with a clean design, chart and cards that were actually visually appealing. Thanks to the clear communication and professional feedback, the entire process felt effortless.
During this time, I also created a simple design system with reusable elements that were ready for development.
