Cookbooks have been part of our daily lives for centuries. They are a medium for the transmission of culinary knowledge through generations.

Since the creation of the first cookery manuals in the 15th century, the publications and authors have not stopped diversifying. They have all contributed something, whether it be in the establishment of a book model or in new ways of transmitting a message. This last point will be strongly influenced by the contribution of graphic design and the evolution of creation and printing technologies.
