Project Overview

Flashcards Alto Contraste

This project involved creating a series of high-contrast flashcards designed to aid visual stimulation and cognitive development in infants. I handled the visual content design using Photoshop and produced a promotional video to market the product. My role included graphic design, video editing, and formulating the advertising strategy.

Objectives

Increase brand awareness of the high-contrast educational flashcards.
Drive sales through engaging visual content and a compelling promotional video.
Showcase the product's developmental benefits for infants.

Target Audience

The primary audience for this product was parents of infants and early childhood educators. The content was tailored to be visually stimulating for infants while providing informative and reassuring messaging for parents.

Strategy

To promote the flashcards, I employed a comprehensive strategy that included:
Creating high-quality visual content for social media platforms.
Producing a promotional video that highlights the developmental benefits of the product.
Implementing targeted social media marketing campaigns to reach new parents.

Graphic Design

Concept Development: The concept development phase involved researching the benefits of high-contrast imagery for infant development and brainstorming ideas to visually represent these benefits. I collaborated with child development experts to ensure the educational accuracy of the content. This informed the design of the flashcards, ideal size, shapes and colors.
Pre-design: I designed the high-contrast flashcards, the shapes. I created detailed sketches of each flashcard on Adobe Illustrator.
Design: The design phase included illustrating the flashcards using Adobe Illustrator. Challenges included ensuring each card was both educational and visually appealing, which I overcame by conducting user testing with babies under 12 months and their parents.

Content Creation

Concept Development: I began by brainstorming ideas to understand the educational objectives and features of this product. This informed the storyline for the promotional video.
Pre-Production: This phase involved planning, scripting, and storyboarding the video. I created detailed sketches of each flashcard and drafted the script for the video.
Post-Production: I edited the promotional video using Microsoft Clipchamp, adding animations, and incorporating music and voiceovers. This phase also involved finalizing the visual content for social media and email campaigns.

Results

Engagement: The promotional video and visual content achieved high engagement rates on social media, with a significant increase in likes, shares, and comments.
Sales: The marketing campaign resulted in a substantial increase in sales of the flashcards.
Feedback: Parents and early childhood educators provided positive feedback, emphasizing the product's effectiveness in stimulating infant development and the professional quality of the promotional materials.

Reflection

This project highlighted the importance of research and expert collaboration in creating educational content for young children. It reinforced the value of a multi-channel marketing approach in reaching and engaging the target audience. Moving forward, I will continue to integrate these insights to enhance the effectiveness of future projects.
