An educational website that moves away from traditional layouts. Explore the world's most iconic sites through story-led interactions and scroll driven design.

For a design challenge organized by Wix Studio, I wanted to design a website that focused more on the story-telling aspect, that would create an immersive experience for the user.

I started ideating using FigJam and going through lots of websites for inspiration

Components and designs were made in Figma

I made sure that all the animations were smooth and followed the same easing curve and timing based on the animated element's size.

Micro-interactions were added but were made subtle to avoid user distractions

Sound played a huge part in the design. In order to make it immersive, a soft background sound plays throughout the website. I also added volume controls that would automatically reduce the sound when a narration played

I was able to achieve the original goal of designing a calm and immersive website where users can get information about the different wonders of the world.

The design went on to win an Honorable Mention for Design of the Month in a community of 14,000+ creatives organized by Wix Studio and NewForm.
