Nate Detling is a freelancer positioned around providing IT services to public schools in the United States. He came to me in hopes to elevate his branding from his old logo, to a full on brand identity that not only reflected his personality, but also his reliability as a professional.

After a brief meeting, we were able to very quickly identify the visual language for the brand. Realizing that a great deal of his inspiration came from retro Nasa posters, we decided to lean more towards the retro futurist aesthetic that not only felt technologically aware, but also friendly and trustworthy at the same time. The visual identity borrows from a rich visual culture of space age patches, posters and layouts mixing it all together to create Nate Knows IT.
