DineQR is an all-in-one digital platform built to modernize restaurant operations and elevate the dining experience. It combines smart inventory and meal management with real-time analytics and QR-code-accessible menus, empowering restaurants to run efficiently while delighting customers.
The goal was to craft a highly intuitive and efficient ecosystem that addressed the distinct needs of both restaurant operators and their patrons, enhancing operational flow and diner satisfaction.

DineQR addressed this gap with a unified, user-friendly platform that streamlines inventory, staff, and customer management, while offering modern, QR-code-accessible menus to boost efficiency and elevate the dining experience.

My Approach: Designing a Comprehensive, Intuitive Ecosystem
My design strategy for DineQR centered on delivering a seamless, user-friendly experience across all touchpoints, shaped by research into the unique needs of restaurant owners, staff, and diners. This insight guided my design of the marketing site, an efficient admin portal, and a sleek mobile interface. Key pillars of my approach included:
Empowering Restaurants with a Robust Admin Dashboard:
My research showed that restaurant staff and managers needed a streamlined admin portal to simplify tasks like menu updates, order management, inventory, and sales tracking. I designed a clear, data-rich dashboard with intuitive navigation to reduce errors, save time, and deliver key insights.

Streamlining Menu & Meal Management:
An easy-to-use interface was created for restaurants to add/edit menu items, define categories, manage add-ons, apply discounts, and upload enticing images, directly addressing the need for quick and flexible menu control.
Facilitating Efficient Operations:
I designed systems for table management, order tracking, and transaction history to give restaurants full control over their daily service.
Enhancing Customer Engagement & Marketing:
Beyond streamlining operations, restaurant owners wanted smarter ways to engage customers and drive loyalty. In response, I integrated tools into the DineQR admin panel that enable customer data management and targeted marketing (via email and SMS), helping restaurants build lasting relationships.
The DineQR admin experience offers complete control, from managing customer segments and crafting campaigns to customizing menus, tracking analytics, overseeing branches, and handling tables - all in one intuitive platform.
Crafting User-Centric Customer Interfaces:
Research into diner behavior revealed a clear need for a mobile experience that’s not only functional but also visually enjoyable. Common frustrations included clunky navigation, unclear customization, and hidden fees. To solve this, I designed clean, accessible digital menus with intuitive navigation, transparent pricing, and easy customization, ensuring a seamless and trustworthy ordering experience.
Simplifying the Customer Journey:
I designed a seamless mobile ordering and checkout experience for DineQR, featuring intuitive menu browsing, rich dish customization (add-ons, spice levels), clear cart summaries, and flexible checkout options including bill splitting, tipping, and multiple payment methods. An AI assistant also provides smart, personalized meal recommendations to enhance the user experience.
Crafting a Persuasive & Informative Website Experience:
For the DineQR website, I focused on crafting a compelling first impression for restaurant owners. This included a bold hero section with a clear value proposition and CTA, benefit-driven content, social proof for trust, and intuitive navigation to essentials like pricing, FAQs, and contact.
