It began three years ago where the desire to build something tangible for music braced my imagination to first build Pineapple Stardom. It was, at the time, a simple project that showcased my want to do a branding/web design project.
Pineapple Stardom started as an online portal where you could curate a mixtape for either yourself or a beloved loved one. These mixtapes were then posted to the receiver's address. It was a simple desire for the vintage methods of listening to music where the interaction was deliberate.

We mature with time. The idea unknowingly grew within and mature along as I grew. The depth of the project increased by a multifold, and the process became all the more captivating.
Pineapple Stardom grew from providing a portal for mixtapes to building out a spectrum that embraced the analog beauty of listening and of the tactile devices while embracing the necessary parts of innovative technological advancements.

The Who and The What

Who is Pineapple Stardom? What does Pineapple Stardom do?
A few things. We do Music. Palpable, intentional experiences with music, with sound. We also do Data, but for particular scenarios. We develop intricate machines for visualising data that enhance immersive experiences and excite curiosity.
The 'Brand'
We are conscious of our brand identity. Contrary to principle beliefs, we aim to have an over-arching brand identity, one that does not find itself rigid, but grows organically, adapts delicately while still preserving the thought on which principles we are built upon. We embrace the digital age, but whilst remembering the tangible necessity for it to flourish.
Our 'Mission'
Simple. Reduce the digital eye-prison. Bring back the charm of old-school awe of functioning technology, while incorporating and embracing the advancements. To promote that which is strictly necessary, and not extravagant.

The First

It began with the T1. A walkman-esque radio device on which one can listen to their cassettes and mixtapes. Industrial design was for us an important priority. We weren't of the two factions that believed in either 'Form follows Function' or 'Function follows Form.'
We believed in 'Form and Function.'
We had a few basic principles as our foundation on which to never compromise. We aimed to retain the tactile interaction that form a personal bond between the listener and the device, and more importantly the music. Secondly, not to be blinded by our adamant bias toward the vintage years of analog but to incorporate those themes and foundations in harmony with today's innovations that prove crucial for comfort.

The simple differentiation between the T1 and the TS1 is the need. The TS1 is for those who are not piqued by too many features but want to simply relish their music. The T1 is for those that look for a feature-rich productive and interactive deluge.

Our aim, like we had mentioned before was to build a cohesive universe of analog architecture. So it seemed only fitting to give the T1 a companion of sorts. A partner that would in a sense complete the functional capabilities of the T1.
