Eco-Friendly Kraft Packaging Design

This project showcases a series of custom Kraft packaging and box designs created for a sustainable product brand based in the United States. The client approached me with a clear vision: to develop packaging that aligns with their eco-conscious brand values while maintaining a premium and modern shelf appeal.

The project included the design of kraft paper boxes, minimalist label placement, and layout-ready dielines for multiple product types. Each box needed to reflect the natural, earthy vibe of the kraft material while keeping the overall look clean, structured, and professional.

🔹 Challenge 1: Limited Color Flexibility on Kraft Material Kraft surfaces are not ideal for vibrant printing. To tackle this, I selected a monotone, black ink approach with strong contrast typography and minimal vector graphics that would print cleanly on brown paper without losing visibility.

🔹 Challenge 2: Balancing Brand Identity with Minimalism The client wanted the packaging to look high-end without cluttering the design. I solved this by focusing on strategic spacing, modern fonts, and logo application — making each panel purposeful yet subtle.

🔹 Challenge 3: Ensuring Print Accuracy Across Box Sizes Since the brand had multiple SKUs and box formats, creating print-accurate dielines and mockups was critical. I provided precise measurements and folding guides, tested across mockups to ensure no misalignment would occur in production.

The client was thrilled with the outcome, especially how the minimalist approach still allowed their product to feel premium and eco-aligned. They appreciated the attention to detail and clarity in dielines which made production smoother with their US-based manufacturer.
