A 5-section re-designed landing page in Figma
The usability challenge
Violated standard and consistency
Client's original homepage is a non-scrollable full-pager. While users expect to scroll and read more about the company like conventional websites do, it is not applicable for client's site. It increases users' cognitive load.
Lack of guidance
There's no call-to-action button nor a navigation flow in homepage. Users may find it difficult to navigate or go to the page they want in the site.
Low readability due to long blocks of text
Long text paragraph is ineffective for users to consume.
Original landing page/home page which is non-scrollable
Long block of text reduce users' readability
Solutions & outcomes
In the new design, there are 5 key sections:
Welcome section with CTA to view projects
Services
Projects showcase

Contact us form
Landing page after re-design
The re-design has created the following desirable outcomes:
Improve readability
Long blocks of text has been trimmed into shorter, smaller bit size which is easier for users to read
Intuitive navigation
Compared to the original home page that was not scrollable, the revamped homepage sections are planned based on users' priority of what they want to see when looking for an interior design agency.
Clear CTA based on user behaviour
'Explore now' is used as the CTA in the first section of the new design to take users directly to the project showcase section, considered that the images of client's past projects are potential customers' top concern.
