Registrar's Offices in Karachi’s higher education institutes frequently grapple with inefficiencies, manual workflows, and technological limitations, hindering the effective delivery of services. These challenges impact the overall university experience for students, creating frustration and inefficiency. 

From student recommendations, the top priorities included PSCS portal improvement (50%) and better communication channels (20%). While some recommendations were outside the RO's scope, such as IT-related improvements, the project study narrowed its focus to enrollment services, a domain requiring improvement. Hence, Student Sphere was created in an effort to design an Enrollment Enhancement Portal that seamlessly integrates with the university's enrollment system (PSCS), providing students with an intuitive and enriching experience. 

New students are prompted to signup through the website to get registered into the university's system. This enables the app to get access to the users' information and sync it with the portal so that all necessary information is available at hand.

At this step, a student is required to add in their details.

Once the information is received, the portal verifies it with the information available at the database and asks for confirmation to ensure this is a verified student at this university, and to avoid any potential frauds.

Here, once the verification is received, the system is syncing and fetching the information for the students hence the loading page is viewed at the students end.

The dashboard allows you to access all important features in one place, be it finances,student support resources, calendar events & reminders, quick links, etc. A student can also create their own to-do list for university related works and setup reminders accordingly. The dashboard is a place for a student to view any urgent or upcoming tasks, etc.

The grades section is for students to view their grades of previous semesters in one place. A student can also view separate grades for each course along with the details of particular assignments completed in that course. The following screenshots show a drop down view of the semesters grades and a particular course grades view.

This feature allows you to create a schedule for your upcoming semester prior to enrolment begins. This enables you visualize potential timing clashes and the course requirements you'll be fulfilling, helping you to stay on track for your graduation.

The degree tracker feature shows you all the courses you have taken so far along with semester it was taken in and individual + total credit hours taken. It also shows your degree completion progress in terms of how many credit hours are required to graduate, how many you have taken, and how much time is left for you to graduate.

Here, you can find the list of all the courses being offered in the upcoming semester(s), categorized according to their schools. You can filter out the options by limiting your selection to a particular semester, and can also search for courses by their course names using the search bar.

This the page where you can see particular information about a course including enrolment cap, credit hour information, requirements its fulfilling, brief course information, course syllabus, etc. You can also follow the course syllabus to stay updated with any changes to syllabus being made overtime up until the enrolment period. If you like a particular course, you can add it to your wishlist through the "Add to wishlist" feature.

Through this screen, you can access all your finance related data, including scholarship and financial aid information.
