BloxBoom Shopify Store with Next.js

BloxBoom is a high-traffic digital marketplace around Roblox games where speed, customization, and user experience directly impact sales. I was responsible for transforming their Shopify + Next.js ecosystem into a fast, scalable, and highly interactive platform.

I worked as a full-stack developer responsible for both frontend and backend feature development, handling everything from UI to API. My focus was on:

Delivering custom, conversion-boosting features

Improving performance using Next.js + Shopify Headless

Ensuring the platform felt smooth, modern, and premium

Building scalable systems that could support daily active users and growth

I approached every feature with a blend of clean UI, performance-first engineering, and custom logic that fit the product’s goals.

Built a fully custom multi-currency system (because Shopify’s native currency switcher was not usable for our setup), ensuring accurate conversions and consistent pricing across regions.

Created the entire “Spin the Wheel” feature — including probability-based reward logic, dynamic discount value generation, and real-time creation of Shopify discount codes through the Admin API.

Significantly optimized website performance by improving Lighthouse scores, reducing unnecessary re-renders, lowering bundle sizes, and refactoring critical code paths for faster load times.

Leveraged Shopify metafields to power dynamic product experiences, including linking bundle items to their parent bundle for better product descriptions and automated content management.

Led performance improvements using optimized GraphQL queries, SSR/ISR strategies, and modern caching layers.

Built reusable UI and logic components that helped the team ship features faster.

Recognized internally for delivering complex custom features quickly and reliably.
