I started the design in Figma using the original game fonts and logo assets, recreating the full menu system including all navigation options. For animation, I built hover states using multiple shape layers combined with inner glows to replicate the game's signature light fill effect. The entire interactive menu was built using Rive's Lists feature for Data Binding, which handled the interactivity cleanly and with less complexity than expected. For the final background, I used GPT's image editing capability to remove text and UI elements from a reference screenshot, leaving a clean atmospheric background that sits behind the animated menu. The God of War logo itself was separated into individual symbol layers in Photoshop, reassembled in Rive, and animated with hover listeners on each symbol plus a particle effect built through trial and error. Both the menu and the logo animation are live on the Rive Community for anyone to explore.
