Caju Mascot Animation for Autism App

Caju is a gamified companion app built for children with autism, helping kids express needs, build visual routines, and navigate daily life through an AAC system. The goal was to bring Caju, the mascot, to life inside the app so the character could respond to real user interactions and make the experience feel warm and engaging for children.

I worked on this project as a team alongside Franky, who handled the character designs and delivered clean, expressive mascot variations across multiple emotional states. For animation I chose Rive because Caju needed to react to different user inputs in real time, and Rive's state machine architecture combined with its smooth in-app embedding made it the right tool for the job. The final animations matched exactly what the client envisioned and are visible in their live demo videos. The project received a five star review with the client highlighting the quality of design, animation, and the speed of delivery.
