ABoxinTime is my personal small business that specialises in contemporary wedding signage, wedding decor, and stationery. Whether you're planning an extravagant celebration or an intimate nikkah, we have everything you need to create the perfect ambiance for your wedding day!

I established this brand to address a gap in the market for minimalistic, exquisite wedding signs that are handcrafted on solid color acrylic, as opposed to being hand-painted. After initially creating shadow box frames, I expanded into designing wedding-related products following my sister's wedding 👰🏽‍♀️.

This is my first venture into developing a website using WordPress. I utilised the Asra theme and incorporated Woocommerce for the e-commerce functionality. To begin with, I designed the website using Figma and then proceeded to build the entire site using Gutenberg blocks.

Constructing the website was not challenging as I was already familiar with WordPress, and I utilised private hosting provided by my uncle, who happens to own a server! Navigating the blocks was quite straightforward, and when I couldn't achieve a specific feature natively, I employed custom CSS to achieve my desired design.

One of the difficulties I encountered was the multitude of plugins involved in creating an e-commerce website. While WordPress is excellent for blogs and simple websites, I personally feel it lacks some functionalities when it comes to building an online store. I found it particularly challenging to find suitable solutions for issues like personalised email and client conversations, which are crucial for personalised wedding signs.

Nonetheless, I gained valuable knowledge from this project, and I'm thrilled to rebuild it using Shopify, where setting up an e-commerce store is much more seamless.
