Problem & Solution 🤝

Problem: In today's world, trust is not commonly associated with healthcare. From hefty medical bills to a lack of resources, oftentimes people do not seek medical help for their problems. There is also a large disparity between healthcare professionals and clients in the medical field. 
Goals/Requirements: • Create a health care brand rooted in respect, communication, trust, and love. • Make anyone who interacts with their brand feel like they are taken care of and that UWH is knowledgeable and able to help their needs. • Connect physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being all under one brand identity.

Design Strategy 🛣

Pillars: Because Universalis Wholistic Health believes in the core values of respect and communication, I made sure to consistently show this within the brand's messaging.
Logo: The lotus flower is a flower of strength and commonly symbolizes compassion, transformation, and spiritual enlightenment. This flower can be seen as the base of the logo. The window background illustrates the rays of the sun, which symbolizes joy and happiness. Additionally, there are five sun rays and the number five symbolizes humankind. Looking closely, there is a hidden heart in the middle of two lotus leaves, which the heart represents compassion, love, and trust.
Colors: The color palette chosen for UWH was inspired by the seven chakras of spiritual enlightenment. This colorful rainbow initiates a welcoming and fun aura to the brand as opposed to other common healthcare motifs.

Results 🎁

Universalis has reported feeling more confident in its brand ever since the work was done in January 2021. They also were able to create their website with the brand strategy, reporting that was easier to write the content for it. Lastly, they opened their brick-and-mortar private practice office in 2022, where she now has been getting an increase in clients due to insurance recommendations.

Takeaways 📣

This was my absolute first brand strategy and identity freelance client. Looking back, I've learned so much in terms of what I need to include in brand strategy and better design decisions. I am forever grateful to Marie and Lesley for trusting me with their start-up brand and believing in me to be able to bring their visuals to life. I absolutely love how this brand turned out and it truly is so unique to other health and wellness companies I've seen.
